With “Diogene”, Renzo piano and his team of architects have created a new type of living space that tackles the challenge faced by those who cannot afford expensive real estate.
The Diogenes house is made from materials found in any construction site such as bricks, wood planks or metal sheets which are then combined with discarded furniture to create an apartment measuring just six square meters wide but capable of accommodating everything one needs for daily life including cooking facilities.

The cabin was built to look like a historical logician lived in it. The name of the building is taken from Diogenes who stayed inside barrels because worldly luxuries were not necessary for him.
