The original 1925 experimental URW Blippo Black was altered by Herbert Bayer, who called it “BauHaus 93” in reference to his school—the Kunstgewerbeschule Berlin (College of Arts & Crafts).
This variation contains only one letterform: an uppercase A with ornamental serifs on top side slopes toward lowercase letters which were once adapted from popular commercial sans-serif designs at this time period due their universal appeal across industries such as advertising or public signage applications.
