The Norican font was designed to solve the problem of the small alphabet. The author was inspired by an old text printed by Johannes Gutenberg in the 15th century. To create the font the designer used the original letters from the Gutenberg Bible, which was printed between the years of 1452 and 1455. While the original font had many flaws, the designer managed to fix all of them and improve the font’s legibility. The final design was named Norican.
